Kings Park and Rochester Psychiatric Centers - Began as a Psychiatric Social Worker Trainee II , completed a Master's Degree, and obtained increasing responsibility as a clinician and clinical manager. Worked on the admission wards as well as with chronic patients on adult and psychogeriatric wards, and on the childrens' unit.
Genesee Mental Health Center - Worked as a Primary Therapist on the inpatient psychiatric unit, became the director of the Partial Hospitalization Program, and worked as a Psychiatric Consultant to the Emergency Department of the hospital. Services were provided to adults, children, adolescents, and their families.
SUNY Brockport - Worked as an Assistant Professor in the Regional Education Center of the Social Work department. This position involved providing workshops on various Social Work topics and teaching credit courses in various social service agencies in an eight county region. I also supervised a field unit of three students in Orleans County at the Department of Social Services and the Department of Mental Health. This position was funded with Title XX money and this position, along with several others, was cut when the funds ran out.
